Neither had much respect for the other and when they were
ordered to sail for Hong Kong, both felt they were in the wrong
place fighting the wrong war.
Then they tangled with the Japs and, in the heat of the Pacific
where cool heads and calm decisions were called for, no one on
board the rusty old freighter was found wanting.
